As for me, this mystery has been revealed to me, not because I have greater wisdom than other living men, but so that you, O king, may know the interpretation and that you may understand what went through your mind.

Read the entire chapter 2 and answer the following questions:

  1. Daniel begins the revelation by reminding the king that none of his wisest, nor his religious men, were able to declare to the king, that which he had forgotten. Only God in heaven is able to speak into the impossible, and He alone reveals the mysteries of the future. What does this introduction reveal about the character of Daniel?
  2. Recap seven main points of the dream.
  3. Relate your seven points to Daniel's interpretation.
  4. Relate your knowledge of history to these seven points.
  5. What is Nebuchadnezzar's response to having the dream declared, as well as its interpretation?
  6. What does Daniel do with the windfall?
  7. Explain, with references, what verse 45 means.
