Fear of God

'I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel. "For he is the living God and he endures forever; his kingdom will not be destroyed, his dominion will never end."'

READING: NASB YL NKJV NIV Commentary Read Daniel chapter 6 and then answer the following questions: What do we know about Darius and Cyrus? Using readily available resources, do a word study on 'lion'. Often it is heard stated that God is a God of love. How does one reconcile that with what is stated in v24? Why is Darius' decree (v25-7) significant? Supposing Chapter 6 to be prophetic, discuss possible interpretations.
