Read: John 6:41-71    Luke 4:1-4    Deuteronomy 8:1-3

1. Where does the conversation recorded in the latter half of chapter 6 take place?



2. What is Jesus saying?



3. Why does he say this?



4. Jesus is perceptive and is able to read the crowd well. Cite three verses which substantiate this statement.



5. The fact that both water and bread represent essential elements of life here on earth, seems clear. Compare and contrast chapter 6 with chapter 4:1-42.



6. Compare 6:15 with 6:66. What do you think caused this change of heart?



7. Apply this teaching to us living in the 21^st century.
