  1. Where do the events of the latter half of John 7 take place?

  2. Who is the audience?

  3. Jesus speaks up on the great and final day in v37, what is John communicating here?

  4. In vv 37-38, what is Jesus saying, in other words?

  5. In verse 40 the word Prophet is capitalized; discuss.

  6. Why do you suppose that there were so many opinions about who Jesus was?

  7. The Jews spoken of here, were leading political figures in the Sanhedrin. Nicodemus challenges them, the other Pharisees, why?

  8. Israel was a state instituted by God over three millennia ago. Today we often hear it said of western nations, that they are "Christian countries". Reflect on this and discuss, why or why not you believe this to be true.
