Peace in South Africa

Imagine trying out your conflict resolution skills in South Africa. Dan Wohlgemut, after pursuing a major in Conflict Resolution from Menno Simons College at the University of Winnipeg, is going to put his education to the test by interning with a conflict resolution NGO in Durban, South Africa.

Dan will leave for Africa in mid August after partaking in some summer events such as Camp Crossroads and KMB's VBS. The one year internship program arranged by MCC is comparable to the one that Kara Snider is on in Mexico. Bonnie Klassen is another KMB member who is working with conflict resolution and her location is Bogota, Colombia. When it was pointed out that he will be joining a number of men and women from our church who are doing peace work, Dan responded, "conflict resolution is so central to our faith and to being Mennonite."
